Holly Hoods, Healdsburg Museum Executive Director and Curator, just had a fantastic time talking about Healdsburg history with journalist Peter Greenberg. They recorded an interview for a segment in an upcoming broadcast of "Peter Greenberg Worldwide," a three-hour weekend radio program. Peter, a multiple Emmy-winning investigative reporter, broadcasts from a different place each week, ranging from major cities to remote locations around the world. We'll let you know when the Healdsburg show goes live!

Docent History Talk in the Plaza:
Saturday, August 29: Twisted History

Frances Schierenbeck will introduce you to some of Healdsburg's less savory historic characters, including murderers, imposters and embezzlers.

Kay Robinson will tell tales of other town characters whose high jinks were less legally questionable but still on the quirky side.

10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Plaza Gazebo

This is the last talk for the Summer 2026 season. Don't miss it.

We had a blast last night at Healdsburg History Trivia night at Garrett Ace Hardware, partnering with Right Turn Wine Co. and Pizza Santo. Thanks to Jordan Matteri of Garrett's and Museum Board Development chair Corey Rawdon for hosting the event in a super fun way.

The pizza and wines were delicious. Kudos to Museum team members Lauren Villacorte, Ebba de la Rosa and Frances Schierenbeck for helping coordinate the event with Jordan and for selecting obscure vintage tools from the Museum collection for a guessing game. I see more Trivia nights in our future!

Still need more history? See you tomorrow in the Plaza at 10:00 am for Museum Docents History Talks: "Farm Town Forever."
