This community driven exhibit features visual artwork and poetry reflecting the LGBTQ+ experience by Hayward area artists, supporters, and allies. Join us with our partners over at the San Mateo Public Library for this program remembering Russell City on Saturday, June 20 form 2-4:30. The African American Library Advisory Committee presents a panel discussion on the vibrant culture, history, and people of the former East Bay town of Russell City. The discussion will be moderated by Robert Franklin, Station Manager of KCSM, and presenters include Deborah Tolefree-Harris, former resident, Francesca Thomas, descendant and Community Advocate, and Elisa Márquez, Alameda County District 2 Supervisor.

At HAHS, management of the museum's 3D collections is carried out by the Registrar, Collections Assistant, and dedicated volunteers in cooperation with the Curator.
