Open seasonally April through October.
Built in 1840, the Lock House served as home to the lock tender and as the office for the toll collector of the Susquehanna and Tidewater Canal Company, which was in operation from 1840 into the 1890s. The museum tells the canal transportation history of the S & T Canal from Wrightsville, PA to Havre de Grace and life in mid-19th century America. The Lock House Museum located along the beautiful Susquehanna River in Havre de Grace, Maryland, hosts several special fundraising events, such as Craft Beer and Wine (April), Pirate Fest (June), and the Candlelight Tour and Holiday Boutique (December).
