Thank you to all who came out to Oktoberfest last night! It was a wonderful night with great music, food, and drink and a successful silent auction/ chance raffle. We could not have done it without the support of our local businesses and individuals who donated items and time. Please share your photos with us. We'd love to see them.

A Pilgrimage is defined as “a journey, usually to an unknown place.”

How often have you passed our oldest buildings and wondered what’s inside?

This year, the Historical Society and the stewards of our iconic houses of learning and worship invite you inside.

Visit the Federal School (1787), the Nevil Memorial Church of St. George (1932), Old Haverford Friends Meeting (1700), the Memorial Church of God in Christ on Buck Lane (site of the original Preston Public School,1876), Haverford Friends Meeting (1834) on Buck Lane, and Founders Hall (1833) on the Haverford College Campus.

Travel at your own pace and learn from experts at each site.

Registration is $25/person.

Sign up online here up to April 29 (the day before the event). After you register online pick up your brochure and map at any of the sites on Pilgrimage day, April 30, after 1 PM (2 PM for Memorial Church of God in Christ).

Go here to sign up :. https://haverfordhistoricalsociety.org/hths-spring-2023-pilgrimage/

Or in person on Pilgrimage day: at Founders Hall on the Haverford College campus or at Nevil Memorial Church of St. George, Ardmore Avenue and Darby Roads.

The Historical Society’s last Pilgrimage was in the 1950s.
