All of us at the Duston-Dustin Garrison House are greatly saddened by the passing of Maureen Ferris. Maureen served outstandingly on our board of directors and was integral to our operations, community programming, and open houses and events. As visitors from the across the globe who met Maureen at the Garrison can attest, she was passionate about history and learning, and was a kind, caring, and giving person. Our deepest sympathies to Maureen’s family and loved ones.

Visiting the 1697 Duston Garrison House this weekend in Haverhill were Hannah Emerson Duston descendant (and art historian) Jane Choy-Thurlow and husband Wang, all the way from The Netherlands! They were welcomed by Directors Maureen Ferris (L), David Dustin, President Josiah Morrow, and Guide Steve Gordon.
