The Haverford College Exhibitions Program is currently seeking Student Exhibitions Program Assistants for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. Assisting the Associate Director of the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery, VCAM, and Campus Exhibitions in all facets of gallery and exhibition management, Exhibitions Program Assistants will work in the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery assisting in a wide range of tasks.

Join us Friday, September 4, 4:30 - 7pm at the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery, Haverford College for the Opening Talk & Reception of “Elsewhere, the Mountain: Hee Sook Kim and Landscapes of Belonging” curated by Lauren McCardel. 4:30pm Talk. Reception to follow.

Elsewhere, the Mountain: Hee Sook Kim and Landscapes of Belonging presents new and recent paintings by Hee Sook Kim that reimagine Mont Sainte-Victoire—an iconic motif in Western art history—through the visual language of Korean culture. Layering painting with intricate beadwork and symbolic imagery, Kim transforms the mountain into a site of cultural translation and inquiry. Her work invites viewers to reconsider the narratives that shape art history and to encounter landscape as a space of shifting identity, memory, and meaning.

Curated by Daniel Tucker, “Eco-Social Realism” is a regional-scale, multi-site exhibition taking place at the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery, Rowan University Museum of Contemporary Art, Street Road Artists Space, TILT Institute, Big Ramp, The Watershed, Ulises, and Facing Bench. The exhibition brings together artworks that show an increased interest in bioregional and infrastructural practices that can visualize and embody the territorial scale of both problems and solutions related to the climate crisis. Featured artists for the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery include Keg de Souza, Sarah Kavage, Lize Mogel, Kristen Neville Taylor, Laurie Palmer, and Rosten Woo.

Curated by Ava Shirazi and Monica Huerta, “A FEEL FOR THE GAME” invites visitors to feel with their own bodies what only great athletes know about how to use theirs. This exhibit brings together contemporary artists working across mediums who share this fascination, including Theaster Gates, Hank Willis Thomas, and Reginald Thomas II. Let’s get as close as possible to what great athletes mean when they say they have a feel for the game.

Join us this Friday, May 1, 2026, 5—7pm at the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery for the opening reception of the 2026 Haverford College Department of Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition!

The 2026 Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition, on view at Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery from May 1 to May 16, 2026, represents the culmination of studies at Haverford for the seven graduating seniors. Over the course of the year-long Senior Seminar, each explored and refined the themes, methods, and concepts presented in this exhibition.
