Sheila Bledsoe Artist

Sheila Bledsoe Artist A fine artist specializing in pet portraits, wildlife and nature in oils, watercolor, colored pencil, Sheila is particularly drawn to birds.

Ever since she made her first oil painting, Sheila Bledsoe has had a love for art. More than four decades later, Sheila has been creating, as well as sharing her passion with others -- inspiring Idaho’s next generation of artists. Sheila has a deep appreciation for nature, and that is reflected in her realistic paintings and drawings. While painting in the outdoors or from her photos, she’s portra

ying wildlife, plants, and scenery in their natural settings. She is known as the Bird Lady by other artists. By playing with light and depth, her pieces invite viewers to imagine what else is in the shadows. For art that will transform any space it’s in, head to her site.

Hello everyone. For the past year I've been working with Go-Daddy to market my art on facebook. They have done a great job and I appreciate all of you who have seen my work, liked it and commented. It has not, however, led to sales, so I have to stop the campaign. I will continue to post new work on this site on my own and diversify the postings to some of the other kinds of projects I'm working on. Please check in now and again to see whats new and feel free to check out my web site if anything interests you. Thanks for your support and kind comments about my work. I hope to continue hearing from you.

This little moose was still a little wobbly when I noticed him trying to stand in our yard. Those long legs are hard to control at first! I chose graphite as the medium for this piece. See more of my work by visiting my website: http://www.sheilabledsoe.com/home.

Ezra and Big Red raised little red tail hawks for several years on the Cornell University webcams. It was fun to watch them build their nest, lay eggs, and raise the chicks. Unfortunately, Ezra was injured and had to be euthanized. He was a beautiful animal and an excellent father and provider. He's been missed.
