Another wonderful 🔵INK MIGRATION🔵 Removal!
-we’re happy to provide selective removal services if you like your tattoo, but not the ink migration or blowout around it!

Ink Migration is a natural process in the body when living with a tattoo. Over time the ink migrates under the skin, especially as we age and our skin gets thinner (this is extra common in specific placements of the body such as towards hands or feet).

We tend to see the most obvious ink migration in lettering tattoos. Our best example to explain to our clients is if you draw an “O”. That skin gap in the center may see slight migration and fill in as the tattoo (and you!) age. That’s why it is so important to discuss longevity with your artist. Choose an artist that will guide you on why that lettering tattoo needs to be at least a certain size and font.

Remember that in the end, your tattoo WILL change with age.

“Pooling” or “Ink Drift” are other terms we hear to describe the migration of ink gravitationally moving downwards or in a direction to settle in a separate spot on the body.

If you think you might have any of the above cases, we would love to discuss your specific removal of either just the Migration/Pooling/Blowout or any other projects with you! Most migration related cases only need 1-3 treatments (individual results vary by person).

The comedian has been gradually removing dozens of tattoos, a process that is both time-consuming and expensive. Reports suggest he has already spent over $200,000, with multiple laser sessions required for each piece of ink. Davidson has openly shared that the process can be painful and requires long gaps between treatments for proper healing.

He’s also mentioned that the decision was partly influenced by his acting career, as covering tattoos for film roles can take hours in makeup. Even so, the removal isn’t quick—he estimates it could take up to a decade to fully complete.

His experience highlights just how complex large-scale tattoo removal can be, both physically and financially, especially when starting with extensive body art.
