Haven't posted in quite some time.
I've been working, and the summer months make it difficult to paint. This 36" x 24" oil on canvas rendition of a popular old western is getting close to being finished.

Say hello to Floyd. As in Pretty Boy. He's on the lamb and is holding up here at the Gallery. Probably the friendliest cat I have ever met.

The intent for me was to hang them like so.

Alma I and II Together 24"x 9". This was painted as a gift and my first commission, It is also my first piece painted in oils. My sister Cathy Simonis Nacey sent me a photo of the Mississippi River as it passes through Alma, Wisconsin. It's painted as a mosaic possibly for experimental reasons. I wanted go see how it would look in two frames displayed with something decorative hung between the two pieces. A candle, a plant whatever compliments the display. Stop by the online exhibit and take a look.
A couple of frames a nik-nak to put between them and your set.

Highway 61 Bridge; Hastings 24" x 18" oil on canvas. The original is reasonably priced and available right at the gallery in Hastings as well as custom prints online.
The scene is from a hot summer night during Hastings annual Rivertown Days when many of those lights reflecting off the river were people visiting that weekend.

Expressions of an American Patriot

The story behind the artist starts out as a particularly exciting one actually, but then... for the most part, he was a humble man with sound morals and practical sense. He spent his early years growing up on a dairy farm in northern Minnesota where he learned early about concepts like ‘Integrity’, ‘Perseverance’ and ‘Self-Reliance’. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving two tours in Vietnam and making it a career that lasted 24 years. After that he attended college and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts under the G.I. Bill he earned serving his country. This page is dedicated to his legacy.
