Highlights from Sedona Summer - President
Today was my first board meeting with 11 other Guild members. It was held at our new meeting place, The 204, which was the cultural center, 204 Sisson Road.
The upcoming General meeting will also be held at The 204 upstairs in the Library. The time will be the same as usual from 2PM - 4PM on January 21st, Saturday. The public is welcome to join us at any of our general meetings. Hope to see you there!
What's on the Horizons - Mary Sheppard - 1st VP –
Now that we are through the holidays, the focus is back on art. The first open painting session of the year is January 15th at the Harwich Community Center. Andrea Pettito will do an art demonstration at the January 21st general meeting. Check out her art on her website at petittostudio.com.
Scheduling and planning for the 2023 calendar year is underway. We are currently looking for volunteers to chair committees and committee members to organize and oversee events. Information on available opportunities will be forthcoming in January.
I look forward to a joyful year full of art, comradery, and fun!
Notes of interest - Karen Marshall - 2nd VP
We are already looking forward to another successful summer at Art in the Park! Please contact either Gail Tilton ([email protected]) or Karen Shortsleeve ([email protected]) if you are interested as we begin planning.
Tidbits of information - Cindy Manteiga - Secretary
I look forward to serving the Guild as secretary this year. I am also looking forward to meeting each of the Guild members and getting to know them. I found this quote I'd like to share from John Lubbock: "Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life."
