This week's photo is the first in what is hoped to be an occasional series where we show one of our old glass slides together with a current photo of the same view. The current version photo has been taken by Hartland resident Bill Stack and we would like to thank him for his work.Taftsville was once part of Hartland. The factory (1794-1855), center in the old photo, was renowned for its scythes and agricultural cutlery (plows, stoves, edge tools, axes etc).
