❗The closing for the Pine Mountain Settlement School historic chapel exhibit will be postponed until tomorrow, September 3 at 1 PM.

For the past few months, the Historic Harlan Museum has been proud to host the Pine Mountain Settlement School’s exhibit featuring the history of its historic chapel.

This special exhibit has given visitors an opportunity to learn more about the chapel, its place in the history of Pine Mountain Settlement School, and the people and stories connected to it.
Thursday, September 3, is the final day to view the exhibit at the Museum!

If you haven’t had a chance to stop by, now is the time. We’re grateful to the Pine Mountain Settlement School for sharing this wonderful piece of our region’s history with our community.

For the past few months, the Historic Harlan Museum has been proud to host the Pine Mountain Settlement School’s exhibit featuring the history of its historic chapel.

As students head back to school, make local history part of the learning experience!

The Historic Harlan Museum offers engaging educational programs that connect students with the rich history and heritage of Harlan County.

Schedule a field trip and bring your class to the museum for an interactive experience, or if traveling isn't an option, we'll bring the program to your classroom! Our programs are a great fit for classrooms, groups, and other student organizations.
