How sweet it is when we have Stricker family members visit us. Please meet Marilyn Haynes, the great-granddaughter of Herman and Lucy. In addition to making sure the Friends of Stricker is constantly supported, she has provided more seating for us than anyone! Not only did she provide the beautiful bench she and her cute companion are trying out she just delivered some "new" chairs for the house to add to our historic home.

Thank you Marilyn, we appreciate you more than you know!

One of the projects we were so glad to get done this summer - replacing the old, crumbly steps down to the lower lawn.

For all of those that served...our patriarch Herman Stricker to our volunteers who served as well, thank you for our freedom. Without you, it would not exist.

Another year of school tours on the books! To be part of the Idaho History 4th grade curriculum is such an honor and we love teaching kids about the importance of the site the the importance of knowing history.

That being said...it is a lot of work! Our volunteers (yes VOLUNTEERS) put in an incredible amount of hours, love and time to make sure these happen and they deserve a standing ovation!

2026 Numbers: 18 total days of tours; 77.5 volunteer hours (not counting set up times and cleaned up times for each tour); and approximately 1,131 kids at the site this year!

Thank you to our amazing volunteers who, without them, there would be no site to visit. Thank you: Rich Russell, Marge Russell, Tara Fiscus, Sue Greene, Steve Widmer, Dave Lentz, Sylvia Osterman, Anne Jacobi, Judy Robinson, Jon Douda and Jennifer Hills.
