Hollenberg Pony Express Station State Historic Site

Hollenberg Pony Express Station State Historic Site Hollenberg Pony Express Station- One of the most unaltered Pony Express Stations still left on its original site. Built in 1857.

Open seasonally April through October, Hollenberg Station is situated along the Oregon and California trails. It provided a way-station for hundreds of pioneers on their way west, and also acted as a relay station for the short-lived Pony Express. The building still stands on its original foundation and, along with the visitor center, tells the stories of the Hollenbergs, pioneer life, and the Pony Express.

You can find more information about the ride, see status updates, and even follow the journey in real time on the NPEA's website at http://nationalponyexpress.org/re-ride/.
