UPDATE: The parking lot has reopened!

NOTICE: On Wednesday, October 21st, Guthrie Memorial Library's back parking lot, located on the North side of the building, will be CLOSED while a new HVAC unit is installed. Please plan your library trip accordingly and be aware that parking may not be immediately available.

We will update our social media when installation is complete and the lot has reopened. Please note that this is subject to change based on weather conditions or other factors beyond our control. Check library social media or call us at 717-632-5183 for updates.

October is Fire Prevention Month. Hanover has a long firefighting history and we'd like to highlight the Silsby Fire Steam Engine No.688 by The Silsby Mfg. Co. Seneca Falls, New York and purchased by The Borough of Hanover in 1881. This unit was rebuilt by The LaFrance Fire Engine Company Elmira, N.Y. in August, 1897 and remained in service until 1917.
