Designed by AIA award winning architects and professionally curated with relics from Guthrie's unique and prominent transportation history, the Guthrie Transportation Museum is a revitalization project of two historic downtown buildings in Guthrie, Ky. Over one million dollars worth of grants have been procured from the Kentucky State Government for the city of Guthrie's downtown revitalization ef

fort known as the "Guthrie Transportation Museum." Mayor Scott Marshall, the Guthrie City Council, Guthrie Partners for Main Street, and the University of Kentucky teamed together and worked diligently for Guthrie citizens for six years to create this project that is expected to establish a cultural gateway into Kentucky for travelers along the various routes leading into the city. This project will create jobs for Guthrie's citizens and bring people back to the historic downtown area bolstering the local economy and renewing community pride. World class architecture by award winning architects paired with relics from Guthrie's unique and eclectic history will be showcased in this revitalization of three historic downtown buildings.
