Join us for Storytime Art in the Park on Tuesday, June 16 from 10:30 - noon at Ahrens Park Shelter #1 for a Sparkle Truck load of free art and literacy projects, books, and food provided by Grinnell Farm to Table. Tilly will be packing along the sewing machine, so you can make a pillow or a tote bag too. On Thursday the 18th from 3:30 - 5 we will be at Central Park with the usual arts and literacy activities, plus a special performance by Eulenspiegel Puppets at 4 pm.

Puppets Galore! Grinnell College Museum of Art and Drake Community Library are hosting free puppet performances and workshops. Here's the scoop:
*Thursday June 18, 4 pm at Central Park Shelter House
Eulenspiegel Puppets presents "The Big Election"
*Monday, June 22, 4 pm at Bucksbaum Center for the Arts, 1108 Park Street. Eulenspiegel Puppets presents "Remembering Buxton" starring students from Grinnell Area Summer Camp
*Thursday, June 25, 3:30- 5 pm, Central Park Shelter House
Puppeteer Buffy Quintero will lead a parade puppet workshop and a parade through Farmers Market.

Grinnell College Museum of Art Activity Bags are back and they are free! Pick up yours Fridays after noon through July 31 at GCMoA or Drake Community Library. This week's bag has reproductions of work by Maria Sibylla Merian, an activity guide to get your looking, thinking, making, and writing, recipes, flyers for community events, a little book, pencil, a pack of colored pencils, seeds to germinate and a beautiful butterfly specimen to draw!

Due to unfavorable weather, we are moving STAIP inside to Bucksbaum Center for the Arts, 1108 Park Street today, Thursday, June 11 from 3:30 - 5 pm. We will still do tie dye and have all sorts of arts and literacy activities.

It's Tie Dye week at Storytime Art in the Park! Join us Tuesday, June 9 from 10:30 - noon at Grinnell Mobile Home Park, 1510 1st Avenue and on Thursday, June 11 from 3:30 – 5 at Central Park. Stop in for free tie dye, books, and a truck load of art and literacy projects. On Tuesday there will be free food provided by Grinnell Farm to Table. GCMoA will provide 75 shirts for tie dye-- please feel welcome to bring your own pre-washed 100% t-shirt.

GCMoA's free summer programs with Drake Community Library kick off Friday, June 5 from 10 am - noon at DCL. Join us for terrific arts and literacy activities, sign up for the summer reading program, get a little sparkle on, and enjoy a hotdog courtesy of the Elks!

And join us for Storytime Art in the Park Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout June and July to enjoy a Sparkle Truck load of art activities, books to read and take home. No registration necessary. On Tuesdays Grinnell Farm to Table will have free produce to take home as well. Here's the schedule:
