Busy morning at the Telephone Museum! We had almost 70 people come through from a group of antique car fanatics. We know there were people from Missouri, Michigan, Oklahoma as well as Illinois and we're sure that's not even the top of the iceberg! With that many people we get to do "official" tours we just let our meander through the museum and told them to stop back and see us for the full your if they're ever back our way!

Thursday we had ALL the 5th graders at EPGMS join us for a brief tour of the Gridley Telephone Museum. In between fun and games at the park on their last day of school, classrooms came over to learn a little about Gridley history, make a call on the switchboard, pretend to be Superman 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️ in the phonebooth, realize how frustrating rotary dialing could be-especially when you mess upon that last number 😜, and get the satisfaction of slamming a handset down on the demonstration rotary phone! (A lost luxury with cell phones, right?!)😆☎️📞
Thanks El Paso Gridley CUSD #11 5th grade teachers & staff for sending your students over for a little bit!
We hope the 5th grade students will come back for a more in depth tour and bring their family along sometime soon! See you then!

Gridley Telephone Museum finally got the go ahead to put up some "Burma-Shave"-esque signs along the original Route 66 path in Chenoa. Look for the old blue car next to the railroad track. Red Carpet Corridor is this weekend. Swing by and check the signs and all the other activities in Chenoa out. And then call the Library to set up a tour at the museum this summer!
