THE GREENWOOD HISTORICAL SOCIETY WELCOMES YOU TO VISIT THE GREENWOOD DEPOT MUSEUM LOCATED IN THE GREENWOOD VILLAGE PARK. THE GREENWOOD DEPOT MUSEUM IS THE OLDEST RAILROAD MUSEUM IN CASS COUNTY HOUSING A VARIETY OF HISTORICAL ITEMS. THE DEPOT MUSEUM IS OPEN APRIL THROUGH OCTOBER BY APPOINTMENT.

I had the absolute best time visiting the Nebraska Firefighters Museum & Education Center today! 🚒🔥
It was wonderful getting to catch up with Jennifer Slater, the museum’s director. We had a great conversation about our brand-new Greenwood Fire and Rescue display over at the Greenwood Depot Museum and why keeping our local history alive is so important. We even talked about the old Greenwood fire engine that used to be on display there!
Jennifer was kind enough to take me on an amazing behind-the-scenes tour, showing me some incredible engines waiting to be displayed and wonderful pieces of donated memorabilia.
If you haven’t checked out the museum yet, I highly encourage you to plan a visit. They are dedicated to preserving our state's firefighting heritage, educating the public on fire safety, and honoring Nebraska’s courageous firefighters—past, present, and future.

Monday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Help us meet the needs of our neighbors by filling the Greenwood Food Pantry this fall!

There is an urgent need for toiletries/personal hygiene items. Any non perishable food items are also very appreciated!

Such an incredible moment in Greenwood last night! 🇺🇸
These dedicated walkers passed through town on their journey from Lincoln headed toward Omaha, walking for an amazing cause. Every step tells a story, and it’s powerful to see communities coming together to support our nation's heroes.
They are marching for The 50 Mile March Foundation, an organization that empowers Veterans facing mental health challenges and homelessness by fostering a community of hope and relentless support. 🇺🇸 💙🫶
