Congratulations to our summer intern, Chi, for a great opening reception for her current art exhibit, "Growing Up in Greenville!"

Her work will be on display in the Anna Bier Gallery on Fridays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm today through August 14th. Stop in and check it out!

Thousands of years ago, humans shared their stories with cave art. Today, we presented the kids at the New Madison Public Library Summer Reading Program learned all about cave art and pastels to share their own stories from summer camping trips and kayaking, to filling bird feeders and celebrating birthdays.

Day one of our summer ceramics class is in the books! Students learned the basics of hand building with clay slabs to create their own unique vases. They learned new terminology, tools, and tricks to make their projects successful.

Scott Thayer was an excellent teacher and ended the session with a group critique where students shared what they learned about the process, what went well, and what they would like to improve in the future. Everyone seemed to agree that having octopus arms would have been helpful when assembling the sides of the vases.🐙

A special thanks goes to Final Bow Center for Children's Performing Arts for allowing us to use their space for this class!
