Some photos from DeMoulin Museum curator John Goldsmith's program Saturday at the Masonic Lodge in Walnut Cove, NC. There were 30 people in attendance including one gent who drove four hours for the fun. Maris Goldsmith was a great helper to her daddy. And Maris's mommy took the photos. :)

It's taken around 100 years for this skeleton and coffin to make its way back to Greenville via Parkersburg, WV then Lenoir, NC. Thanks again to Carl and Ellen Butcher for donating these cool DeMoulin-made artifacts to the museum. It was raining when we picked up Skelly Skellington. Here's a look at loading the coffin, strapping it in the U-Haul (thank heavens we weren't pulled over by State Police), and its new home at the DeMoulin Museum.

For around 60 years, until 1982 when the division was sold, DeMoulin Bros. and Co. manufactured graduation caps & gowns and choir robes. During this graduation time of year, we remember this important part of the company's history. DeMoulin was the first company to offer rental and disposable caps and gowns.

Thanks to Karen Shaw who recently donated these DeMoulin catalog printer blocks. They feature lodge regalia, a church pew, and a Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen badge. We have a case dedicated to DeMoulin catalogs and printer blocks. These are a nice addition.
