NCAT Visual Arts Alumni and Friends

The Alumni & Friends arts organization serves as a bridge between current visual art students, alumni, and friends of the arts. We are dedicated to the arts, our artists, and cultivating a culture of giving back. Through support, inspiration, and advocacy, the Alumni and Friends is striving to build and maintain meaningful connections and advance our artists. Since 2011, the Alumni & Friends holds

an annual arts exhibition, which doubles as a fundraising event held during North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University’s homecoming week. The exhibition displays work from alumni of the university and friends of the alumni and/or the Visual and Performing Arts program, including supporters of the arts in the community. The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for the alumni of the university, and its Visual Arts program to give back and support its current students. Through the contribution of time, donations, and fees, the Alumni and Friends are able to award scholarships to currently enrolled students in the Visual Arts program who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, and artistic craftsmanship.
