Thank you to everyone who came to our Fly-In / Drive-In yesterday. We hope you enjoyed your time and the pancakes. Despite the weather we had over 30 planes come out for the festivities as well as YL-37, the UH-34D Sikorsky helicopter, also known as The Flying Memorial. During the event we inducted Hazel Sig-Hester and Doug Rozendaal into our Hall of Fame. We want to extend a special thank you to the friends and family of Hazel who came out to help honor her legacy and to Doug who showed up with many of his family and friends to accept the award in person. Thanks to everyone who came out and everyone who supports us to make events like these possible.

The Iowa Aviation Museum is proud to announce that during our Fly-In Drive-In we will be hosting YL-37, a UH-34D Sikorsky helicopter that flew Ugly Angel missions in the Vietnam War. The Fly-In Drive-In is on August 30th from 7:30am to 11:30am. The YL-37 plans to come around 8:00am but these plans are subject to change. We hope you come and see this flying memorial!

Just a reminder to sign up now for the kid's free airplane rides! There are plenty of spots available. Please give the museum a call or email us to sign up your children for this fun experience! We would like to know the sooner the better so we can determine how many airplanes we need. We would love to see everyone that participated last year!
