Do you know...
~ Why we drive on the right side of the road???
~ It's PA History which became American History!
~ 234 years ago, in 1792 **the first law** in the United States requiring traffic to stay on the right side of the road was passed by the PA Legislature as a result of intensified Conestoga wagon congestion on what is **now** known as the Philadelphia-Lancaster Turnpike!!
~ So why do the British drive on the left side of the road?
~ The photographs are part of Allison-Antrim Museum's collections.
***The driveway has been paved by Ganoe Paving and is in "curing" mode. PARKING today when visiting Allison-Antrim Museum, Inc. today 10 am to 2 pm, is "only' on South Allison Street. Walk on the grass up the hill to reach the sidewalk on Ridge Ave and use the sidewalk and enter via the ADA accessible ramp.
