Orders due by October 30th! You can purchase tickets at the museum as well during open hours. Proceeds will help fund a new building to house fire trucks, horse drawn hearse, and sleigh currently being stored somewhere else. Thank you!!

While on a walk through our Cemetary I got caught up in a side quest. Thank you to Kim Clevinger for some detective work. There are some Innes family in our Cemetary, but this was never constructed. If anyone has any information we would love to hear it! This is why getting the Green Springs newspapers digitized and online would be so helpful while doing research. Thank you to Green Springs Elementary students from 5A and 5B Mrs. Greenslade and Mrs. Ball classes for participating in a walking tour and a tour of the museum. We had beautiful weather! The Green Springs Directory of October of 1902 lists many local businesses. Here's just a few pages showing a variety of products and services at that time.

We have a showcase of advertising memorabelia displayed at the museum. Sometimes the only tangible item left of a business of the past is something as small a pen or a pencil. We are always happy to accept additional donations for a business we do not already have. Donors are asked to email a photo of their offer to [email protected] for collection committee consideration. Your gifts bring back memories for visitors and can offer a glimpse into Green Springs long past.

Photo identified as the “Ground breaking for the Calvary Church” Sharon Kuehn will be our greeter at the museum from 12 until 2:45 today. We will be closing 15 minutes early today.
