Christmas on the Farm Revised

This year we are excited to present a new version of this iconic event.
First you will have the opportunity to visit Santa and have photos taken of you and your family for a mere $25.00 donation to the Museum. Please call 517-392-3195 for an appointment.
Secondly, the outdoor Christmas Mart will have wreaths, greens and gifts for your holiday celebration.
Last but not least you can stroll around the grounds while enjoying the Hot Chocolate or coffee you have purchased at the bakehouse. There will be scenes from Christmas past in the windows of the Farmhouse for viewing and a bon fire will be available to gather around to warm your toes.
Please join us for a wonderful celebration of the season

Over the years, the museum grounds have been used by several film crews as rustic backdrop for their web series and films. Aaron Herman Russman, one of these filmmakers, has created this amazing promotion for us that perfectly captures the what makes this place so special.

*Cancellation*
The October 11, 2020 event , Pioneer Days at Waterloo Farms was has been cancelled.
The decision was made based upon the difficulties of maintaining social distancing and other recommended CDC guidelines for large events. The safety of the public was the factor considered most when making this decision.
We hope to resume normal operations next season.

With the museum closed to the public due to COVID restrictions, we still had a bit of activity at a private blacksmith's gathering. We can't wait until the future when many of these smiths can demonstrate to our guests at our public events. Everyone take care, and keep working on those passion projects. We hope to see you when it's safe and life becomes more normal.

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers and board members who worked hard today cleaning, as well as painting trim and working on repairs. Our roof is finally complete (though I neglected to snap some new pictures) and now come the final touches before gutters are reattached. It takes a lot of work to keep up our grounds. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please feel free to join our volunteer page or contact us. Please also continue to share our fundraising efforts

Antique Tractor and Truck Weekend - it was great!
I wanted to post this to the Christmas page, but it won't allow me to post there. Life has happened, and I won't be available to pipe Christmas carols on Sunday. I will still be there start-up to close on Saturday, piping carols for your enjoyment ... or, I can split my time between the house and Dewey School ... your call :) See you on the 7th.
Could someone please tell me the name of the business that runs the dried flower arranging and greenery booth in the barn? I am interested in purchasing dried flower arrangements for an event.
I NEED to know who the man with the bacon is!(the man cooking bacon in the kitchen during the Christmas of the farm event). OMG! I had one bite and can't stop thinking about it! Lol Can it be purchased??
Dewey School is all ready for Christmas on the Farm this weekend. Come visit us Sat 10-4 or Sun 12-4.
