Andrew J. Volstead House Museum The Granite Falls Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation and sharing of the stories of Andrew J Volstead and Granite Falls Minnesota.

Visit the museum and learn about Andrew Volstead's role in The Volstead Act enforcing Prohibition in 1919 and the major legislation piece the Capper-Volstead Act creating the frameworks for cooperatives was passed in 1922. Nellie's Escape Room is available $15 per person or for groups up to 10 with a group rate of $12 per person with a minimum of 5 people. Open Saturday’s May 27th - September 2nd Or By Appointment

The Andrew J. Volstead House Museum will start it's regular summer hours starting this Saturday from 11 am until 3 pm. The house will be open each Saturday through Labor Day Weekend from 11 am until 3 pm. Westernfest's display will be an update on the Art Map project featuring Stefanie Kiihn's art map progress as of June.

Good morning! Sharing draft progress of the art map project we are involved with! The Granite Falls Historical Society along with representatives from the Chippewa County Historical Society and Lac qui Parle County Historical Society and some local folks are working on two themes for two separate art maps... Lac qui Parle in the 1830s and Granite Falls featuring Andrew J. Volstead during his term in office. This is a draft of the Lac qui Parle art map. The artist is Stefanie Kiihn at www.kiihn.com
