Do you remember the Red R Coffee Shop? It was a GP small business started by Red Richardson around 1960. Good food and excellent cinnamon rolls., thanks to Mary Franklin who is pictured with Red in this February 18, 1970 Grand Prairie News clipping. It was located at 518 W. Main Street on the northeast section where the new GP Fire Station #1 is. This was in a scrapbook donated to the GPHO Museum. It's a great memory. What is your memory of the Red R.?

When you step into the entrance of the GPHO Museum, take time to see what has been added to the "Early Settlers" wall. Sign the visitor list and you are on your way to looking back at Grand Prairie's 165 years of history.
Don't forget to pick up a GPHO membership blank while you are signing in. Your support helps us continue to search and research so we can provide more history to see. You may also join online at https://gphotx.org/ .
