It was a beautiful day on Sunday, so we decided to take a walk around Nike Base's hiking trails. The Recreation Department is doing an excellent job of making this area a nice place to spend some quality recreation time. Each time I come out, I always visit the old Soap Box Derby race track. Time and Weather have not been kind to this venue. If you have any vintage photos or great stories to tell about this spot, please post them here or email them to: George Smith; Grand Island Historical Society Social Media Administrator - [email protected]
