Community Prayer Vigil 🕊️🕯️

The Emmett Till Historic Intrepid Center (ETHIC) invites our community to come together in prayer, remembrance, and unity as we honor the life and legacy of Emmett Till and remember the young lives lost to violence throughout the Mississippi Delta.

🕊️ COMMUNITY PRAYER VIGIL: STOP THE VIOLENCE
📅 Friday, August 28, 2026

This evening is more than a vigil—it is a call for our community to stand together, lift one another in prayer, remember those we have lost, and work toward a safer future for our children and families.

One life lost is one life too many. One community united in prayer can be the beginning of change.

🙏 LET US PRAY.

We also invite you to help us honor those we have lost. Please send the names of individuals you would like us to remember and honor to Sharon Hill at [email protected].

🌟Remembering Emmett Louis Till on His 85th Heavenly Birthday🌟
Yesterday, we paused to honor the life and legacy of Emmett Louis Till, who would have celebrated his 85th birthday.Though his life was tragically cut short at just 14 years old, Emmett's story forever changed the course of American history. His courage, and the unwavering strength of his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley, awakened the conscience of a nation and helped ignite the modern Civil Rights Movement. At the Emmett Till Historic Intrepid Center (ETHIC Museum), we remain committed to preserving his legacy by educating future generations, promoting truth, and inspiring meaningful conversations about justice, equality, and human dignity. As we reflect on Emmett's life, we celebrate not only his enduring impact but also the continued work of those who ensure his story is never forgotten.
Happy Heavenly 85th Birthday, Emmett Louis Till.
Your legacy lives on in every lesson learned, every truth shared, and every step taken toward a more just and compassionate world.
