We've been waiting for this piece for a while and it was delivered today! A donation from the Watson/Drummond family. It's from the early 1900's and at some point was in a saloon in Hinsdale before it was acquired by the Watson family. We appreciate the donation and want to send a big Thank You out to Cody Godwin, Damien Zeak and Cody McCarthy, whose family was visiting the museum, for their muscle and helping get this unloaded and into the museum!

I chose 1976 for our as it was the 200th celebration of the Declaration of Independence. I was hoping to find all kinds of activities celebrating our country's independence. As it turns out, the biggest celebrations seemed to be happening in Hinsdale and Opheim! I included some of the ads along with pictures from the June and July issue of the Courier, Enjoy!
