1202 Contemporary is delighted to finally announce Shifting Landscapes: A Portrait of Gilroy in Black and White, a photography exhibition.

Join us on during the Third Friday Art Walk, August 21st at 5 PM, for an evening celebrating our hometown in our brand new space in Downtown Gilroy!

This exhibition will feature the work of three local photographers:

🥂WE ARE MOVING!🥂

If you have passed by the corner of 6th and Monterey lately you might have seen the gallery doors locked and the windows dark, but do not be scared! 1202 Contemporary was just taking a brief nap before getting ready for our next big move! 😴

Although our home has changed over the past 9 years, our mission remains the same: to be an inclusive, welcoming space for the community while focusing on promoting marginalized artists in the contemporary art world.

We are taking a moment of gratitude to thank every artist, community member, and organization who has joined us on this journey. If you see yourself or people you recognize in our reel, sound off in the comments!🥳

Where are we going? That's the best part! We will only be two blocks up the street from our previous home! Right between our new neighbors Apothecary Vintage and Bike Center, 1202 Contemporary is moving into a bright new collaborative space with Dream Weaver Books.
