Located in the old post office building on the square you will find wonderful history of Upshur County! Beginning with the Caddo Indians and into the 21st Century you will find interesting and informative finds of our county, the creative accomplishments of our citizens, and the uniqueness of the area. Also, our Gift Shop features toys from the past, books and other unusual items! Ya'll come visit!

Come to the Antique Appraisal Fair - 7 Appraisers will be there to appraise a variety of items: general antiques, old guns, military weapons, documents, paper items, coins, figurines, glass and kitchen ware, oil lamps, toys, jewelry, buttons, civil war and other items. Our raffles include a B&B stay at the Corinthian House in Dallas. $25 gift card for Los Pinos winery and 2 $25 each gift cards for River Bend Restaurant at Caddo Lake.

On Saturday Feb 10th 10am-3pm A one of a kind quilt will be on display at the museum. The quilt has portraits of African Americans who made contributions to America. Natalie Jones will present program called African American Cover to Cover. She will share how she became the keeper and storyteller of the quilt.

A reception and book signing will be held at Historic Upshur Museum from 2-6PM on the 27th, Benny's birthday.
