Located in the old post office building on the square you will find wonderful history of Upshur County! Beginning with the Caddo Indians and into the 21st Century you will find interesting and informative finds of our county, the creative accomplishments of our citizens, and the uniqueness of the area. Also, our Gift Shop features toys from the past, books and other unusual items! Ya'll come visit!

A thank you to the Ladies at the Clothes Closet in Gilmer, Carolyn Marshall, First National Bank, The Cramer Family Fund via Lynn Graves, Gary Moore, David Laschinger, Judy Marshall, Kenneth White, Mike & Brenda Youngblook, Phil Davis, LaVelle Crow, and The Jewett's for your donations in support of the roof replacement at the museum. This historical building houses the history of Upshur County is a great asset to the community. Any financial support will be greatly appreciated.
