Congratulations to Lisa Cordiano who was nominated as a Window Keeper for PA Humanities statewide initiative, The Window Keeper: Civic Honors, in recognition of her work with The People Project.

This initiative celebrates Pennsylvanians whose everyday actions help shape strong communities and sustain civic life through the power of the humanities.

As former Executive Director of ACAC, Lisa created The People Project to invite community members to share their experiences and stories around meaningful themes. Through storytelling, art, and music, neighbors were able to learn more about one another’s backgrounds, histories, and shared experiences.

We are excited to share that Lisa will bring The People Project back in October 2026 — stay tuned for more updates!

We’re thrilled to celebrate artist Sarah Jacobs, who was recently featured by Gettysburg College for her inspiring artistic journey and growing impact through public art.

A local contemporary maximalist and surrealist artist, Jacobs shared how her creative path led her back to Gettysburg, where she continues to bring meaningful community-centered projects to life — including the upcoming mural at the Beyond the Battle Museum.

Known for blending intimate human moments with expansive landscapes, Jacobs was selected to create “Adams County: Stories Past, Present, and Future,” a community-driven mural that will be unveiled this summer as part of America’s 250th celebration. The mural dedication and celebration will take place in conjunction with ACAC's The PEOPLE Project 2026, a storytelling and performance event centered on the same theme.

Sarah, thank you for helping tell our community’s collective story through art!
