The Delaware Telephone Museum on Memorial Day salutes Winford J. Poore and Norman F. Taylor, Telephone Men from Diamond State Telephone who lost their lives in WW2.
One Hundred and Eleven Diamond State Telephone men and women served during WW2.
The memorial is proudly displayed at the museum.

A Heartwarming Holiday Invitation

Tomorrow, December 20th, the Georgetown Historical Society warmly invites you to step into the spirit of Christmas and make a memory or two with us.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Santa Claus and his sleigh will be making their final visit of the season to the museum at 510 South Bedford Street, Georgetown. Bring your camera and capture a moment your family will treasure—this visit is free and open to the public, just like Christmas should be. Follow the signs to Santa!

The Western Auto Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering a nostalgic walk through Georgetown’s past.

The beloved Jimmy Boyer Annual Christmas Trains will be running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., delighting children and adults alike.

Stop by for a sneak peek at the new Telephone Building addition and collection, also open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.—a special glimpse into a growing piece of our local history.

And don’t forget the Gift Shop, open Saturday and Sunday, filled with local treasures perfect for last-minute Christmas shopping.
