And JUST FOR FUN, a little AI to help you imagine perhaps what they might have looked like during the Victorian Era.

Last night, Alex Fox entertained a great group of interested guests about Victorian Mourning Rituals, from what to wear, spiritualism and how they kept their loved ones memories alive!

We actually had a Lady in Mourning that joined us. (Heidi Hamer). Did you know there were strict social rules such as wearing specific black clothes and limiting her public activities to show grief for her lost loved one? AND, there were LEVELS of mourning. So interesting and Alex did a great job sharing historical highlights of that Era. THANK YOU!

We had some pretty important people at the museum today! Steve Kastorff highlighted seed corn companies in our area and how influential they were and still are in our region.

It was a pretty full house! And it was a great way for us to learn about how they all did their own thing, and supported each other. What a classy group of people! Thank you representatives from C.D.Ford and Sons, Hulting Hybrids, Sieben Hybrids and Wyffels Hybrids! What a powerful history! And thank you Steve Kastorff for your masterful storytelling.

Geneseo has a historical claim on SEEDS and agriculture here in Henry County.

Steve Kastorff, subsequent interviews with family members of the seed corn companies, will share said history, their contributions and blessings in our region's agricultural story.

See you here tomorrow at the Geneseo Historical Museum on Thursday, September 24 at 1:00. Doors open at 12:30.
