June is almost here, and the African American Museum is ready to celebrate Black Music Month!

It's the perfect time to bring the kids to the museum and introduce them to the rich musical legacy of African American artists from Gastonia, the Carolinas, and beyond.

Be sure to visit our new Kids Culture Korner, featuring a retro record player, a cozy reading rug, and a special collection of music-themed books. Throughout the month of June, children can relax, listen to records, and explore stories that celebrate the power and influence of Black music.
