I spent so much time challenging myself to do something I've never done before and design and publish my own website. I'm so proud of myself after days of hard work and lots of writing and editing I have it published and live. I forced myself to figure it out after realizing I need it if I'm going to continue to apply to higher caliber shows and galleries.

I realized on my morning walk how absolutely quiet it is here. Such an alarming atmospheric shift from the constant sounds of hustle and bustle in New York. Incredible the vastly different environments I'm able to experience within 24 hours. Just this time yesterday I was hailing a cab for the 3rd time ever in my life and marveling over apartment buildings that probably could hold the population of my town 10 times over.

Taking a break from my large scale acrylic on canvas mountain lion to a small scale oil on cradled panel. My last several paintings have been between 4 and 6 feet big so making the mental shift to 8 inches took a minute. Erased my underpainting several times as I forced my brain to go smaller with the outline to fit within the 8x8 inches. This is today's progress I'm playing with a new to me medium that will hopefully speed up the curing process and let me work this painting more in the next day or so rather than in a week.

After the pressure of being prepared for Jackson hole this weekend was all about leisure activities. I did NOT know pyrotechnics had become part of airshows and for a brief moment I thought I had just witnessed a horrifying crash.
The whole airshow was incredible but there is something absolutely awe striking about the capability of the blue Angels together as a team. I can barely drive my vehicle without curb checking and they are up there 5 deep flying 800 miles per hour within what looks like feet of each other. Incredible
