It is with sincere regret that we inform the community that the spring Work Week for the Edsall Class Veterans Association (ECVA) at the Galveston Naval Museum will not take place this spring. This decision, although disappointing, is due to circumstances beyond our control.
The Work Week has long been a valued event, providing dedicated volunteers the opportunity to come together in support of preserving the rich naval history showcased at the museum. It is a time of meaningful collaboration, restoration efforts, and community engagement that strengthens the connection between veterans, history enthusiasts, and the public.
Despite our best efforts to maintain the event schedule, unforeseen challenges have necessitated its postponement. We understand the disappointment this may cause among volunteers and supporters who look forward to contributing their time and skills each spring.
Looking ahead, we remain optimistic and committed to hosting a successful Work Week in the fall. This future event will provide an opportunity to renew our collective efforts to maintain and enhance the museum’s exhibits and grounds. We encourage all interested parties to stay connected for updates and prepare to join us later in the year for a rewarding experience.
