Galesburg Historical Society, INC The Society strives to preserve Galesburg's history though the discovery and preservation of historical data and items pertinent to Galesburg history.

The Galesburg Historical Society was formed on August 8. 1975. The Society is an educational, non-profit, non-political, non-discriminatory, and a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. The object of the Society include discovering and preserving historical data and items pertinent to Galesburg history and other communities in as much as they relate to local history and educating the public with this in

formation. We strive to preserve relevant historical documents, accounts, and articles. We work with individuals, families, and organizations (including local schools and other educational institutions) to acquire and restore materials and structures of historical and/or architectural merit.
