The Amazing Give is going on NOW!! Please help!
Historic Haile Homestead Inc. is raising $4,000 to remove or trim up a compromised water oak and winged elm tree that could damage or destroy the newly opened Kitchen. There is also a very dead pine tree in our parking circle that could fall. Any contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps.

Donations are currently being accepted. Just click on the link to find our donation page! Click here to donate:

Highly recommend this to everyone. The quilts are amazing in their detail and thoughtfulness, recognizing the mostly unknown victims of racial terror lynching in our county.

A week from today we open our newest exhibition: "Going Back to Find Them: Remembering Victims of Racial Terror Lynching." The focus of the exhibition is the Alachua County Community Remembrance Project’s eight Remembrance Quilts. The quilts were made by Alachua County residents from various walks of life to remember and honor the 47 lives lost to racial violence in the 19th and 20th centuries in Alachua County. The exhibition examines the role that injustice and violence had in our county’s history and the ways that our community moved towards reconciliation in the recent past.

The exhibition will be on display in the Mary Ann Cofrin Gallery through May 2026.
