JW Pratt House Museum- Friends of History in Fulton The JW Pratt House was built in 1861-1863. It is run by the Friends of History in Fulton NY, Inc. It was established as a museum in 1979.

It features Italianate style architecture.

We had a special exhibit last weekend during our 15th Hunter Arms Homecoming last weekend featuring artwork from the master gun engraver, Al Kraus. Here's a peek at his beautiful work.

We had a special exhibit on loan last weekend for the 15th Hunter Arms Homecoming featuring paintings from Al Kraus, the master engraver for the Hunter Arms Factory here in Fulton from 1889-1950. His work both engraving and painting are beautiful works of art and highly collectible today. What an honor it was to showcase his work.

We are hosting the 15th Hunter Arms Homecoming this weekend Friday Aug 21st from noon-5 and Saturday 9am-5pm. We will be hosting members of the L.C. Smith Collector's Association as they set up displays honoring the history of the Hunter Arms Factory. We will also be showing a special exhibit on loan to the Pratt House featuring various paintings done by the master engraver for Hunter Arms, Albert Kraus. Please join us for a great weekend and wonderful displays featuring some great Fulton history!

***Just a reminder we will Be Open Friday at NOON to the public (opening late to get everything fully setup)

We were going to keep this a surprise, but we are too excited! We are thrilled to be able to share special exhibit on Albert Kraus with the community! Although Al Kraus was most known for his beautiful engravings for the Hunter Arms factory, his paintings are equally as beautiful. The exhibit will only be for one weekend- August 21-22, during our 15th Annual Hunter Arms Homecoming. Please stop by the museum and check out his beautiful work. A special thank you to those loaning their pieces to make this special exhibit possible!

Our annual Hunter Arms Homecoming is quickly approaching! We are Open to the public Friday 12p-5p and Saturday 9a-5p. Come check out displays set up by members of the L. C. Smith Collector's Association, as well as check out a special exhibit on loan to the Pratt House for the weekend!
