Did you know the first version of Heritage Hall was in the side room of a local bar? It was! Pictured here is our first try at a town history exhibit in 2016. We started out with just a few dozen photos and artifacts!

Through the dedication of volunteers, and the support of the community we are now a full interactive museum. Located in the rear of the Frontenac Public Library, Heritage Hall is completely free to visit! Come learn about the unique (and colorful) history of Frontenac, KS.

Sometimes I wonder what those miners and mobsters would think of Frontenac now. If we could bring them back and let them see the beautiful school, the safe streets, the amazing library. Especially Heritage Hall Museum.

I think they would be proud. Not just of what we built on the foundations of what they gave us, but of who we are.

They would be proud that we are still a community that supports each other, cares about each other, all while planning for the future and remembering the past. We never lose sight of the fact that we came from people with coal dust on their hands and mud on their boots. I think they would be proud of us Frontenac Friends. I really do.

🇺🇸It’s Flag Day! Did you know that the Frontenac Heritage Hall Museum has the flag that flew over Independence Hall on our Bicentennial, July 4, 1976! The flag was given to Joseph Skubitz by the superintendent of the National Park Service, come in and check it out this week!🇺🇸
