Independence Day marks the historic date in 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress. The declaration stated that the American colonies were no longer subject to British rule and declared their independence as the United States of America. Today, Americans celebrate their country's birthday with parades, fireworks, cookouts, and picnics. You can join in the festivities by stopping by the Frisco Heritage Museumβs visitor's center on July 1 from 1-3 p.m. where we will be hosting a festive craft activity.
