𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘋𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘒𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘖𝘸𝘭 🦉

The book that is the centerpiece of this exhibition is 𝘒𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘖𝘸𝘭, a Caldecott Honor Book, and the first in a series about a brave little knight who happens to be a tiny owl.

The illustrations in this exhibition depict one brave little owl who has a dream and aspirations to be something no one would expect. He uses diplomacy and thoughtfulness, along with some pizza, to solve problems and avoid conflict.

For the first time in the 38-year history of the Council of 100, the Council of 100 Selection Committee has chosen a modern dancer, Donna Sternberg, as the Distinguished Woman Artist for 2026.

Sternberg’s exhibition, 𝒟𝒶𝓃𝒸𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒯𝒽𝓇𝑜𝓊𝑔𝒽 𝒯𝒾𝓂𝑒, is a retrospective tracing her work through photography and video from 1970 to 2026. Viewers can appreciate her choreography through the shapes and interrelationships of the dancers as they move together or independently of one another.

ON VIEW: 𝘕𝘰𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥: 𝘗𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘣𝘺 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘤 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘫𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘰

From lights reflecting off of cold steel and glass high-rises, or row after row of aisles in a supermarket, to the flickering neon signs of the local gas station or fast-food restaurant, Marc Trujillo’s paintings redefine the tradition of American landscape painting by examining how consumerism and capitalism have literally shaped our landscape. These places are everywhere, could be anywhere, and are so ubiquitous that they might as well be nowhere at all.
