Kami Taylor Art

Kami Taylor Art I am a Drum maker, drum circle facilitator, artist, reiki master living on a horse ranch with my hubby The Mustang man, West Taylor where we host workshops

I see beauty all around me and I turn it into art through inspiration. Many of my paintings are of the rural farm and ranch/western lifestyle. I love connecting with people as I am creating custom paintings for them. I do may paintings on Native american Indian Drums and love to see, feel and hear my paintings come to life. I am so blessed and so grateful for this talent.

This pretty little mermaid rattle was created as a sparkly, glittering talisman for a dear friend—infused with water magic, intention, and love. 🧜‍♀️✨

Mermaids are ancient symbols of fluidity, emotional wisdom, intuition, and freedom. They remind us to move with the tides of life rather than resist them, to trust our inner currents, and to honor the deep emotional waters within.

Spiritually, mermaids represent:
🌊 Connection to the water element
💫 Sensuality, joy, and creative flow
🐚 Playfulness balanced with deep inner knowing
🌙 The ability to move between worlds—seen and unseen

This rattle carries the essence of the aquatic realm—sparkle, movement, rhythm, and the soothing yet powerful energy of water. A reminder to swim freely, feel deeply, and let your spirit shimmer. ✨

What would you co-create with me on a rattle to represent your healing journey using sound and vibration?

✨ Shaking Up Energy, One Rattle at a Time ✨ give the gift of sound healing this year! 🎁
I’ve been creating custom hand-painted rattles & rattle-making kits for over 15 years now — each one made with plant, animal, and mineral medicines, woven together with intention, prayer, and a little bit of wild spirit. These aren’t just instruments… they’re companions for healing, ceremony, meditation, and moving energy when the body needs a gentle shift.

Every rattle has its own voice. Its own heartbeat.
Its own purpose.

If you feel called to work with sound, or to make a rattle of your own with your hands and heart, I’d love to share this sacred art with you. ✨🤍
Just reach out — I’m always happy to guide, answer questions, or help you find the rattle that belongs with you. There’s something ancient and remembering about holding a rattle in your hand… the way sound can move through the body, loosen old stories, and call in new beginnings.

✨ Exciting News ✨

I’m honored to be a presenter at Yin on Fire 2025 here in Utah! 🌿🔥 This will be my third year attending, and each time I am blown away by the community, the learning, and the magic that happens when we all gather together with open hearts.

This year, I’ll be sharing a workshop on drumming and rattling for sound healing therapy—a practice that connects us to both science and spirit, and helps us remember the power of rhythm, vibration, and presence. 🥁✨

I’m also so excited that my husband, West Taylor, will be presenting his powerful wisdom and life lessons learned from horses. 🐴 His work always inspires people to see themselves and their relationships in a new, healing light.

If you’ve been curious about Yin on Fire, this is the year to come. It’s more than a festival—it’s a space for transformation, play, connection, and soul nourishment. 💫

Who else is planning to join us this September?

✨Sneak Peek✨
A couple of new commissions are in the works for my hand-tied 18” drums, and I can’t wait to show you the full paintings. For now, here’s just a tiny glimpse of what’s to come…

What do you think this little sketch will turn into when it’s finished on the drum? Drop your guesses below ⬇️🎨🥁

Your ideas always inspire me, and I love hearing what you see before the artwork fully unfolds.

✨🎨 Today’s studio: a picnic table in the pasture, the soundtrack of horses grazing, and the soft hum of sprinklers and nature all around me.

With rawhide leather in my hands and sunlight spilling across the table, I’m stitching together shamanic medicine rattles — each one becoming a vessel for sound, spirit, and healing. These aren’t just instruments; they’re works of art, infused with intention and the magic of this land.

There’s something exquisite about creating in the open air — where every breath of wind, every bird call, and every flick of a horse’s tail seems to weave its way into the piece. It feels less like I’m making art and more like I’m collaborating with the earth herself. 🌎✨

This is the kind of luxury I crave — not fancy labels or high-rise city views, but the richness of creating beauty with my hands, in harmony with nature, surrounded by the animals I love. That, to me, is my ultimate bougie art studio. 🖤🌿🌈

✨🎥 Exciting Announcement! 🎥✨

This Wednesday night in Southern Utah at The Kiln, something magical is happening… 🌟 It’s the premiere of a brand-new show created by Wendy Dorton Bunnell called “Taking the Weird Out of Woo”—and I’m in the pilot episode! 🥁💫

I was filmed doing one of my favorite things in the world: leading a drum circle! This was such a phenomenal experience—and I haven’t seen any of the footage yet, so I’ll be watching it for the very first time right along with everyone else. 😍

For 15 years, I’ve been making sacred drums, teaching the ancient art of drum making, and facilitating drum circles, drum meditations, and sound healing experiences—from Lake Powell to retreats all across the country. And this event felt like something truly special. 🌍💗🌀

Join me Kami Sue Taylor LIVE at The Kiln for a night of celebration, connection, and a little bit of “woo” made wonderfully real. 🌈
And if you can’t be there in person, you can still watch online—just sign up through the link below!

Happy Mother’s Day to all you Goddesses who created life, adopted, mothers of fur babies, and all the other mothers! Today is about YOU. Take a breath.
Take a break.
Take a moment to remember how powerful, loving, and sacred you are.
I’ll be in nature with a horse and a drum, soaking up the magic—and I hope you find a little magic for yourself too.
You deserve it.

Sound Healing on the Road: is this your Heart-Shaped Rawhide Rattle?

One of my favorite things about traveling is creating sacred tools inspired by the places I visit. This time, I crafted a heart-shaped rawhide rattle in Moab utah along the river. This is a powerful companion for sound healing.

Each rattle carries a story, and this one is filled with the essence of my journey and the plant medicines and mineral shakers collected in nature along the way. As I cut, punched and stitched the rawhide, I thought about the rhythm of the land, the heartbeat of nature, and the way sound connects us to the unseen.

Rattles have been used for centuries in ceremonies, healing work, and personal transformation. Their vibration clears energy, grounds the spirit, and invites new intentions to take root. This heart rattle will be a beautiful guide in my sound healing work, carrying the wisdom of the earth and the love poured into its creation.

Have you ever felt the power of a rattle in meditation or ceremony? I’d love to hear about your experiences!

Wow! What an amazing experience it was to be invited to bring my drums and be a part of this event with outside the St George store. We all had so much fun drumming and dancing and really diving into the benefits of healing with sound and vibration. Thank you, thank you, thank me!

ATTN: all my artsy friends, hippie chicks, goddesses, soul road warriors, and basically anyone who wants to comment!!! HOW MUCH WOULD YOU PAY FOR A GLUE STICK?!? I was recently traveling and I ran out of glue… again!!! So I figured I’d just grab one at a little grocery store. Yes they had one and yes I bought it! So I guess for me I would pay at least $4 for one! For the record it is one of the bigger ones!
