We are one week away from the opening of our newest featured exhibit, "America's 250th Part 2: Johnson County Now and Then." The exhibit opening will be Thursday October 22nd from 6:00-7:30. The event is free and open to the public and will have appetizers and refreshments.

We are one week away from our final Voices from the Past Storyteller! Bev Hollandbeck will give a talk on the stories of Revolutionary War veterans buried in Johnson County. This is our final 250th themed speaker of the year. The event is free and open to the public and is co-sponsored by the Johnson County Public Library-Indiana.

Heritage Day is underway! We will be open until 5:00. We have demonstrators, re-enactors, and crafts through out the parking lot and museum. Kevin Stonerock will also do a talk as a Civil War soldier at 1:30 in the museum auditorium.

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! Today’s is in honor of 9-25 Day (9 to 5) and Dolly Parton!
This 8-track tape of Dolly Parton Greatest Hits was released in 1982 by RCA Records. We are excited to share that we will have Kevin Stonerock here for two programs on Heritage Day! He will portray a Hoosier Pioneer in the auditorium at 11:30 and "Billy Yank," a Hoosier Civil War soldier at 1:30. These programs are made possible by the Max and Lois Fitzpatrick Memorial Fund.

Heritage Day is this Saturday and we wanted to highlight some of demonstrators and re-enactors you will see there. Bill Hendricks will be there with his brother portraying Revolutionary War soldiers in honor of America's 250th. We hope to see you this Saturday from 11:00-5:00 for our FREE Heritage Day event!
