Call for Art: Keep It Regular: A High Fiber Exhibition - Guest Curator Martha Anderson
*Calling all DFW artists* The Buttermilk Gallery invites emerging, mid-career to retired artists, crafters, quilters, sewers, stitchers, embroidery artists, and yarn artists to submit their artworks for consideration in “Keep It Regular: A High Fiber Exhibition” with guest curator: Martha Anderson. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Martha from transforms what the world discards into vibrant, modern landscapes that explore the intersection of nature, geography, and sustainability. Using hand-tufted, reclaimed T-shirt fibers, she builds bold topographical compositions that map the delicate interplay of shadows and textures while pushing the physical possibilities of the medium. By elevating these forgotten, human-made materials into fine art, they give new life to textile waste. She has also started to create a community of reclaimed fiber artists.
