A legacy carried one book at a time. 📚

Southern Living looks back at our remarkable 2024 Honorees The Pack Horse Library Project, who traveled Kentucky’s rugged terrain by horseback to bring books and knowledge to isolated Appalachian communities.

We’re proud to see the story of these pioneering women continue to be shared.

We’re excited to invite educators and their families to Fort Worth Educators Day in the Cultural District!

As part of this special event, teachers and their families receive free admission to participating cultural institutions throughout the Cultural District. It’s a great opportunity for educators to explore museums, discover resources for their classrooms, and enjoy a day of fun with their families. We have free admission to the Cowgirl Museum during 10 AM- 1 PM for educators, homeschool parents, pre-service teachers, and their families.

The Kay Gay Palomino Parade carries on the legacy of 2010 Cowgirl Honoree Kay Gay, whose creativity, dedication, and signature style helped bring unforgettable pageantry to the rodeo arena for decades. We love seeing her legacy continue to ride on!
