🚲 WE’RE BRINGING THE BIKE BACK! 🚲

Remember the thrill of riding high above the Science Central floor? We’re bringing that feeling back as the High Wire Bike—and we can’t do it without our community.

Through the Ride the Wire Campaign, we’re raising $150,000 to bring this iconic experience back and invest in the hands-on science, learning, and memories that connect generations.

And there’s plenty of fun along the way! From the Ride the Wire Balance Challenge happening throughout our community to Science Central Days at local businesses, there are lots of ways to get involved, have some fun, and help us get closer to the wire.

Every dollar moves us closer. Every participant helps build the excitement. And every bit of community support helps bring the bike back.

⚡ Ready to Ride the Wire with us? Visit our website to learn more about the campaign and find out how you can get involved.

🌠 Did you catch our Science Sundays segment on the Perseid meteor shower with WANE 15 earlier this month?

While the Perseids reached their peak on August 12–13, the meteor shower remains active through today, August 24. That means there’s still a chance to spot a few Perseid meteors tonight, though activity is much lower than it was around the peak.

A big thank-you to WANE 1515 for helping us share the science behind one of the year’s most anticipated meteor showers. We’ll be back with another Science Sundays segment early next month, so be sure to tune in in September.

In the meantime, check out our Perseid segment and keep looking up. ✨

⏰️ One More Day Before We Close for Annual Upkeep 🧹

Tomorrow is our last day open before we take some time to make improvements, refresh our spaces, and get Science Central ready for the season ahead. We’ll reopen Saturday, September 12, with a new season of hands-on discovery, exploration, and learning.

Whether you’re visiting for the day or making Science Central part of your family’s year-round routine with a 12-month Membership, there’s always more to experience—from hands-on exhibits and Premium Planetarium shows to special programs, events, and new ways to explore.🔭

We’ll see you on September 12, and then again on Sunday, September 13, for Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown with Visit Fort Wayne.

Until then, we’ll be behind the scenes getting ready for what’s next.😃
