🎃 TODAY is Downtown Fort Wayne’s Fright Night! Festivities kick off at Science Central at 10 a.m. (9 a.m. for Disability Day visitors).

Join us today for Mad Science Day, with activities and demos throughout the day, including our Electrifying a Pickle demo at 12:30 p.m.! ⚡🥒

Snag your trick-or-treat surprise and enjoy a day of spooky science and Halloween fun!

Stick around for Halloween Laser Spooktacular at 4:30 p.m., an interactive laser light-and-music show. It’s just a $5 add-on with admission or $3 for members. 👻

Today is also Disability Day at Science Central, with sensory-friendly accommodations to help make science accessible for everyone. Free to those with disabilities and their caregivers.

Get ready for some electrifying fun at Science Central’s Mad Science Day! From Tesla coils and balloon blow-ups to battery-making and an electrified pickle, there’s plenty of science to spark your imagination.

A little fieldwork and fun at the Field Museum!

Science Central's Advancement Team recently visited Chicago to connect with the Field Museum’s Institutional Advancement team, learn more about their work, and exchange ideas about fundraising, community engagement, and advancing our museums’ missions.

We also enjoyed a special behind-the-scenes tour with Bill Lynerd, Major Gifts Officer and Planned Giving Manager, exploring museum collections, discovering the work of artist-in-residence Peggy McNamara, and even getting access to the Pokémon exhibit!

We returned to Fort Wayne with fresh perspectives, new ideas, and plenty of inspiration for how we can continue to grow Science Central and advance our mission and vision.

We’re grateful to the Field Museum team for their generosity, hospitality, and willingness to share their knowledge. We’re always learning, and we’re excited to put that inspiration to work!
